What resolution image do I need?

The quality of the final print is dependent on the quality of the image you supply. The higher the resolution, better the print quality. File size of 1MB should be a minimum.

What type of glass do you use?

We utilise premium glass available in a number of thicknesses. As a standard we use a Low Iron 6mm glass toughened for safety. This is to achieve optimum clarity for images. However the colour of the image or graphic you see on computer screen is not the 100% same as printed image. Quality of image you supply is the quality you receive.

Are digitally printed glass splashbacks heat resistant?

Toughened glass is heat resistant up to 220 degrees Celsius and virtually never breaks due to heat.

Are your glass splashback toughened?

All our glass splashbacks are toughened to BS6206 code. Toughened glass is five times more impact resistant (stronger) than untoughened Please note toughened glass cannot be altered or cut. If measurements are mis-calculated then it is a waste and has to be re-ordered.

Can I have holes or cut-outs in the glass splashbacks?

Yes, you may specify location of double or single socket cut-outs in glass splashbacks for electrical appliances. Socket cut outs should generally be at least 50mm from the edge of the glass splashback or from each other. Please ensure your electrician leaves plenty of wire so sockets can be fed through the glass splashback cut-outs.

What is Direct to glass printing?

We utilise the latest Printing Technology which is direct digital printing on to glass. Direct to glass printing involves the application of special inks directly on to the surface of the glass. These inks are UV curable and certified anti bacterial. This process is perfect for splashbacks and wet areas.

What file format can you print from?

We can print from any high resolution media file. All popular graphic formats including PDF, PS, EPS, Tiff, BMP, and JPEG are supported.

How do I get my images to you?

Images can be uploaded via our website, emailed to us for editing/cropping, or can be sent to us on a disc.
